A juicy citrus fruit, very popular in food and drink, lime belongs to the lemon family but has a very distinctive and gentler taste than lemon.
Lime peel is especially thin and green (not yellow). Lime zast is used in many baking recipes and lime juice blends well in many soups, meat, chicken and salads. It can be found as a major ingredient in Asian cuisine in general, and Thai, in particular.
